In order to get from the Towpath to Harpers Ferry you have to cross the Potomac River on the footbridge that runs parallel to the railroad bridge.

At 60.67 mile, just before Lock 33, turn left, climb stairs and cross footbridge into Harpers Ferry .

After crossing the footbridge, turn right on the gravel path, go under the bridge.  Turn left on Shenandoah Street and go one block to High Street.

Turn right onto High Street.  Volunteers will be posted at key points in Harpers Ferry to direct hikers after dark.

Use the sidewalk on the right-hand side of High Street.  After walking about 0.8 mile on High Street (which has changed its name to Washington Street after about 0.25 miles), you will cross Union Street.

Continue on the sidewalk another 0.4 mile, and then turn left onto Panama Street, crossing Washington Street with caution.  There is a small sign for the Bolivar Community Center (BCC) on the signpost at the corner of Panama and Washington Streets.

Walk up Panama Street about 0.1 mile.  Proceed to the Bolivar Community Center on the right, the end point for the One Day Hike.  Congratulations!
